On R5 live cd.
Intel core2 duo Q6600 2.40 Ghz
2 sata hd (non-raid)
4G ram
ATI radeon HD5670
wireless usb mouse
hardwire ps2 keys
hardwire internet
When I was on ubuntu 12 live cd I had to find "sound" (using search) and pick "analog" to make my speakers work. Can't find out where that is in this distro. The Youtube vids play, just no sound.
For instructions on things I need to look up under ubuntu wiki under the Oneric version only??
My hd is already swiped by gparted. Dos tables on drive a, Bsd tables on drive b (have no idea why I did that, if both should be bsd let me know...I don't want any windows unless it ends up in a VM box in the FAR distant future) ....developed a severe dislike for Vista and tired of donating to the well being of MS. So what I need to know is... can I make a spot in the middle of drive A for this distro with a boot, home+more, temp and swap sections..... and then later add a larger distro in a primary with it's separate boot at the front. Can I get away with that, or will loading this one up first in a logic mess up this idea?
Thanks!
