Give me some time. I am having problems copying / pasting right now on either of my computers. I have the info you want but I can't seem to send them right now. I've done it before. It is only pasting the file location, not the actual screen shot ! I feel like an idiot . This post was edited by Michael Smigaj at November 8, 2012 10:51 AM PST

I am having a problem with my Hp printer(HP LaserJet Pro P1102w).  I have this question posted in another Wattos forum.  And I was wondering if there would be a way to develop some sort of software that would 'AUTOMATICALLY DETECT' what printer you have THEN update it through the update manager ?    Software like that on the initial installation of Watt os R6 would be COOL !     I thank you ! First, I want everyone to know that I am Linux illiterate.  I know just enough to do some damage.  Like one of the main characters from the t.v. series Psych once said, "Explain it to me like I'm a 5 year old."     Info:   - HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer - connected through the USB directly (NO network) - Hp mini 210-1000 Netbook about 2.5 years old   (32 bit) - I installed cups and other stuff (don't ask me what else, I'm new to all this) - The computer SEES the printer seemingly corectly, but when I press print, nothing happens - I am affraid of the command line  - I have all updates from the update manager  - I clicked on PREFERENCES then PRINTING then HELP then TROUBLE SHOOT then it gave me   this text eventually AFTER the trouble-shooting questions  :       Page 1 (Scheduler not running?): {'cups_connection_failure': False} Page 2 (Choose printer): {'cups_dests_available': , 'cups_queue_listed': False} Page 3 (Local or remote?): {'printer_is_remote': False} Page 4 (Choose device): {'cups_device_listed': False, 'cups_devices_available': {}} Page 5 (Locale issues): {'printer_page_size': None, 'system_locale_lang': None, 'user_locale_ctype': 'en_US', 'user_locale_messages': 'en_US'}   I thank anyone that can help me ! in the topic Hello everyone ! in the forum Introduce Yourself
I thank you Dave. It is the 32 bit version on my little Hp 210 netbook. I am installing your suggestions and then some. I will bring my computer back to my brother's house and see if it works. He doesn't have any internet service at his house. If it doesn't work, I would be thankful for more help !

Can we have more options on how to install ? Example: Can we have an option to replace a certain O.S. ? On my windows 7 netbook, i would like to replace Bodhi Linux with Watt . Selecting "other" option is to complicated for me. How about an additional option to "replace a specific O.S.", then there would be a list of currently installed operating systems. And then 'click' on the one to replace. I am a newbie to all things Linux. I've been turned away from multiple Linux distros, even one's that had really good potential, just for the fact that it is to complicated for me to install . Do you want maybe even more subscribers of Wattos ? Make it even easier to install. Whoever reads this post, try to understand that not everyone knows as much as they do. I am EASILY intimidated ! I prefer various Puppy distros and Bodhi for their quickness/speed of everything they do. But, the installation for the Puppy distros, and others, was to complicated !
