Okay, I'll be very glad to help as Debian-tester. I've always been a Debian-fan by the way. Last year I've installed a very minimal Debian 6 (without a DE or even an WM) and idle RAM-usage was an hallicunant 25 Mb !!! :)

I could do the testing on my 10-year old 1Gb RAM testbox (where I have PCLOS LXDE on running right now).

I will continue to do whatever I can to make sure the oldest gear possible and simplest system that people can customize how they like.

Small tip to gain screen space = place your taskbar on the side (the way Unity does) since most web sites are still designed for 4/3 screens. In the beginning it's strange but after a while you're used to it (as with many things :))
I don't need unnecessary changes, as long as this baby run smoothly it's okay for me :) I needed a fast, light LXDE-distro and this one does the job perfectly. Keep it going like this.
Installed a minimal Debian 6.0.5 yesterday on my test-box. Only OpenBox and Chromium on board, my version of ChromeOS so to speak :) It only has a RAM-usage of 25 Mb at idle !
