Forgot to mention that once installed, the "Live Installer" can still be found under "System Tools".

Here some things that I observed so far...

    As normal user:
GParted - Once wattOS is installed on hdd the app doesn't start anymore.
User Settings - the app starts but nothing can be changed (which could be OK as non-root)
Services settings - the services cannot be selected (nothing changes)
Virtualbox - added this app: doesn't run any VM's (error: failed to open session as root...)

    As root:
    GParted - runs normally
User Settings - the app starts but keeps beeing occupied (clock cursor)
    Services settings - runs normally
Virtualbox - added this app: doesn't run any VM's (error: failed to open session as root...)

Having the ability to run Virtualbox on this Linux machine is key so I keep trying...

After the first update and some testing it occured to me that I should look at the repositories.
So I changed the repository from experimental to wheezy (stable), do yo...    less

My last encounter with a Debian distro (SolusOS 1.3) was able to wirelessly connect right off the live CD...

The "R7-Debian Test-Edition" Live-CD runs great on my laptop. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is wireless (Intel Centrino Wi-Fi).

BTW: is this the right spot to give feedback about it?
(or should I give feedback in "Support"?)

    1) Task viewer/manager "htop" (runs in terminal)
    2) Hardware info program (should show all recognized hardware, didn't find one in the live-cd menu)
    3) Plank (lightweight dock-app)

It seems that the size of this edition just fits on a CD.
Maybe adding more stuff to it will make the ISO too big...

However, I always liked the idea of a Debian based wattOS.
And now after all these years it seems to materialize - cool!

Biff, if you don't mind I would like to test the Debian based version of wattOS as well.

    Thanks

So I changed the repository from experimental to wheezy (stable), do you think it will be a problem in the long run? Still the idea to have a small Debian based distro on a CD (not DVD) is pretty cool.   Will keep on testing :)   Thanks, and... Keep up the good work!
