Dave .

Hi, Biff posted a new Poll asking about the version of wattOS you're using. For some reason I didn't see any information about that here, so I'll write one.

So if anyone wants to test some Debian - very unsupported test images - let me know
I'm really late to the party here, I'll admit that, but may I also test?

    please?

No, I believe the release cycle is still 6 months, it's just that a non-LTS release (i.e. Raring) is now supported for only 9 months, not 18.

But if you've got the time, patience, and passion to do so, the E17 would disappoint you as much as the KDE4 is ugly (and since KDE4's got barely any ugliness....you get the idea).  less

What about including R4's wallpapers in R7? And R4's Syslinux and LXDM backgrounds. They're great and...classy.
And the Onyx Openbox theme should look good with the Zukini GTK+ Theme.

Err, biff....moving to a debian testing base might be a good idea for R9? Or prhaps Aptosid or Siduction - if they prove to not be resource-heavy? You can then release things whenever you feel like it - as long as you do release them. Just my thought.

I don't know but might it be a good idea to base R8 on something that hasn't got a fixed release schedule (i.e. Debian testing, and for that matter I think Siduction and Aptosid as well), so that you can take your time working on each release.

One last hing, Biff. If Microwatt (and of course the "regular" R7) is to include AbiWord 0.9.2 (0.9.4 by now?) can you please have it tested first? My bad. I should've added sudo in front of dd. Note: If you know what you're doing and receive a "permission denied" reply, add sudo in front of the command you tried.

Oops! I should've said the best rolling release "scenario" for wattOS! Sorry about that.
