Greetings all,
So the dust has settled a bit and some decisions have been made, so here is the plan for wattOS R7.
First off thanks for all who have helped, tested, killed spammers, etc. I appreciate it. Also the kind words and support from those who have been "patiently" waiting.
In any case here are the highlights and game plan going forward.
1. There will be an annual release of wattOS that will include 32bit, 64bit, and microwatt edition.
1a. - I am sticking with Ubuntu as the parent as I am much more happy with the *.04 releases, and can still work around the controls that are present, and still have a reliable desktop and sources to pull from.
2. This release will follow the *.04 Ubuntu release calendar by 30 days annually, So April 25th means May25th for wattOS, etc...(support will also follow the same upstream calendar)
3. That means R7 will be released no later than May 25th for all three versions. (likely sooner than that)
4. There will be a "ditch" version of wattOS coming out once annually in the fall/winter for fun that will have a single release that might test a new UI, strange software, fun and different things. This will be for the distro hoppers, and people who generally like to break things or try alternative things. (think of it as the .10 version but will likely have an alternative GUI, or other apps and things you might not have ever used before).
4a. This "ditch" version is called that because your system might "go in the ditch" or crash, and is generally only supported through the community as its experimental stuff.
******other misc housekeeping***********
Testing has been underway on the 64bit version of R7 for about a week, and 32 bit is underway now with images being shared with some beta testers in the next couple days.
I am going to redouble my efforts relative to keeping things fresh and interesting, so there will be some graphics updates to the website and logo as well as more regular communications, clean up of forums, better google+, twitter, and general information and clarity.
Thanks again, wattOS turns 5 in July so I am happy that things are still moving along with our small distro and community. Thanks again. More to follow....feel free to ask any questions here or in the Google+ community.

By the way what is the "Microwatt Edition?" Will it still be for x86 architecture?
