@Teejay, Solved it.... Deinstalled printer drivers and hplib again, but this time:. Reinstalled hplib by downloading from hplip website, this time hplib came with several questions during the script and suddenly the printer started humming.....

@Teejay Tried this, I uninstalled the printer, rebooted, still does not print:-( rocessing - /usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed   Anoy other ideas? Installed the hplip packages, did not help or change anything :-(
