It's field gear so I need a beater. Once I read up in the forums maybe I'll figure out how to get the wireless up & running ("missing firmware"), not that I really need it whilst working in the desert but maybe I can rig up a cantenna to the cacti and point it towards civilization, wherever that is.

Archaeological go'fer hooked on geeky gadgetry & learning as I go. I like Cyanogenmod on my Android phone, Ubuntu Orcawhale on my desktop and WattOS on my crappy old field laptop ... thus far. Beats hell outta the Tandy Comspec (floppy driven) 286 I started with.
