No worries Biff R3 works brilliantly for what they need (Mr potatoe head and abiword :) along with the bbc iplayer here i the uk) so i will stick with that for now. Thanks again.

ah i think i may have just found the answer myslef in another post "Typically the upgrade path is a rip and replace (which I prefer) just to keep things clean and fast."

Hi all is it possible to upgradfe R4 over the top of R3, i have a couple of R3 workstations set up very nicely and don't really want to completely reinstall, especially if it means the kids will be without laptops for more than 30 seconds....;)
