Enormous Johnson

I had nothing but problems with P-IIIs. Had a 600mhz P-III yrs ago go up in smoke on me. I've worked on old IBM computers that were time bombed to quit working after so many yrs. with P-IIIs. Is there a way to get full screen size from Watt & XP? What I mean is I run a dual boot with Watt & XP. If I adjust the monitor to fill the screen in XP it leaves about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of edge border top & bottom in Watt or any other distro of linux. Obviously if I adjust the monitor for linux and go back to XP, its now off the screen and unusable on the edges. Just wondrin".
    Thanks

    Logitech Wireless Mouse
I use a Logitech Wireless Trackball "which I love", and have seen a problem related to 12.04 which is an apparent bug in the distro where on bootup the mouse is'nt recognized. I had the same problem in Peppermint 3 so I know its an Ubuntu bug. The closest fix I've found is to add lines into etc/rc.local script which essentially turn off the mouse and back on during boot. My question being a nube to Linux in general is how do I go about adding the code into rc.local? I had it written down but can't find it in my notes. I suck at cli stuff so any help would be appreciated. The lines I want to add which I found on an Ubuntu forum are:

    modprobe -r hid_logitech_dj
     ...  more

Enormous Johnson → david linares: I've seen 3.2ghz P-IVs that ran like molasses in the winter. Think alot has to do with the motherboards architecture too.
My 1.8ghz P-IV blows away my buddies and his is a 3.2ghz

Tried Peppermint 3 also but it seemed kinda buggy. Got a dual core Netbook with Xubuntu 12.04 on it. Tried Watt in live awhile back and kinda forgot about it. Guess I was looking for too much flash from this old box. Very happy with 5 on it though. Thanks Biff!
