I used Unetbootin to create a WattOS bootable USB. I changed the boot order to Removable Device on my EeePC 900A. When it trys to boot to USB it says:

Reboot and Select Proper boot device or Insert Bood Media in selected boot drive and press a key

I've used this to create an Ubuntu USB and it worked with no problems. However, this is not working for me.

    Please help!

    Thanks!

Did you happen to change the boot order in the USB? I'm pretty sure I've used Unetbootin and WattOS for an EeePC, with no problems. But I always had USB boot selected first in the boot order. And I think I had to shut off boot boost. Then you have to select the boot from a menu, I think hitting F12 or something. If you're still stuck tomorrow I'll dig out the EeePC and see how I did it.

When you say "Boot Order in the USB"....Do you mean the actual device? If yes, how do I do that?

I've changed the boot order on the machine by pressing F2 while booting to make sure "Removable Device" is 1st.

Also, my device has "Quick Boot" not "Boot Boost" and it is disabled.

Super. Okay, now put the USB into a slot, and as the computer is just powering up, press "ESC". Then you'll be able to choose the boot device.

Glad you're up and running! I really like those little EeePCs. They are so sturdy. My Acer is a tiny bit bigger but feels like it bends a bit.
