  I have a dual install now, Peppermint and Wattos. All the interesting bookmarks for Firefox are in peppermint.

  How do I copy them ?

  If you're using FF4 Beta, which is preinstalled with Peppermint One, it has a sync feature that allows you to share your bookmarks and other personal settings between operating systems. Though, you'd need a 4 beta version in wattOS to utilize that feature.
  
  However, your bookmarks should be stored in your /home folder. I haven't used FF in a while, but they should be stored somewhere in ~/.mozilla, you should try looking there first. If not, try ~/.config. Moving the information from one to the other should be as easy as opening up your home folder and the partition on which you have Peppermint installed in PCManFM and copying and pasting (or clicking and dragging.)

  Export the FF bookmarks from 'Organize bookmarks' in 'HTTP' to a Fat 32 partition or first to /home/ and then to the Fat 32. (Fat is easier in acces and copy I'm happy to say.)
  Start the other distro and import from there in FF. For me it's the easiest way.
  I do also feeds (news) via Fat 32. Etc.

  But in R4 it is not possible anymore. Very nasty.

  I only try to copy html bookmarks on Fat to Chrome??

  
  I still don't know why it works in R3 and not in R4?

  I've made R4 a Clonezilla clone for the time being.

  I can use R3.

  Hi Gerrit - there is nothing in R4 that would prevent that as far as I know. Firefox is not installed by default only Chrome...So I have not done any testing. I usually use a program like xmarks or firefox built in sync to keep my bookmarks so there is no copying.

  When I save, say on an (easy) Fat partition, the Firefox bookmarks.html file and I try to load it in Chrome, the filemanager does not even see the file.
  (which is normal in R3).

  And also no .json

  I remember trying syncing, but it didn't work too.

  I have no problems with it in other Lxde-Linux flavours (Lubuntu or Mint).

  And an old one: I hád problems with bookmarks in R3 from FF to Epiphany and Midori. And I didn't succeed.
