I'm live in the country below seelevel, so small you almost cant see it The Netherlands (or if you like Holland).

Long ago I build computers (Junior of Elektuur), then there were Atari ST and Falcon ('worldmachines' in my opinion).

Next a Targa laptop around 1995 (so with Win95) en then the PC like we now it now. First with WinMillennium, but since 2002/3 all kinds of Linux among which PCLOS and Mint-flavours are my favourites. First dualboot with WindowsME, but for years now multiboot (easy experimenting). I have on partitions Mint LMDE (my workhorse), Mint XFCE (not bad), I have Mint Gnome/KDE, PCLOS KDE 4.x.x and PCLOS 2010 which has the MBR and a 'redo-mbr', ánd of course the very, very nice wattOS (now on two computers, one rather old).

Hardware: I use a custombuild-computer with Celeron 2core and much diskspace and I have my old DELL Dimension 4100 which is doing a second youth with wattOS, PCLos minime, just for fun.

I did program a lot in former days: all kinds of Basic (of which Atari GFA the most), Pascal, Fortran, Forth a little, CLisp. I don´t know much of modern programming languages, I hope to correct it when I have the time (I'm still very interested but I don't have to make websites etc.).

I'm using computers for financial activity, daily things (one can't without it) and to stay informed. I was (and I am) an electronic engineer and later I worked in the media; 'computers' is a necessity but also a kind of fun for me.

For me very important selection of software to give you an idea: browsers Midori and Firefox (Opera is also great, but I don't want to make the system too big). Feedreader Akregator, Mail: Sylpheed. Streamtuner2, vlc, mhwavedit, audacity, qarecord, gnome alsamixer, Kalarm, Parcellite, xboard with several chessengines, Ksnapshot, Bleachbit, Klamav, Dolphin along with Pcmanfm, Taskman, Remastersys !! and Ubiquity, Clonezilla !! Kbackup plus (de)archiver, nVidia to silence my 'fan' on the graph card.

For who did not yet and reads us: go try wattOS!
